PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING!

The Ruby C. Hunt YMCA is now offering the “Hoops Academy” basketball clinic! This section of the clinic, Hoops Academy Posted Up, will be focused on post-play. We will dive into the aspects of post-play FOR BOTH GUARDS AND BIGS. In this clinic, guards and bigs will be taught the fundamentals of different skills and concepts like pivoting, posting up, spacing, off-ball movement, rebounding, and more! Players will be given practical drills to learn and understand the game of basketball and the concepts presented in the clinic. The clinic will conclude on April 27th, 2024 with the players being split into teams/groups for some fun competitions and the opportunity to put the skills they’ve learned into practice in a game setting.

The clinic will be run by Toler Reiff! Toler is a former member of the GWU Men’s Basketball team. In High school, he was a state champion in Florida, an Under Armor Scholar-Athlete, as well as a captain on his team. Reiff continued his playing career on the developmental team at Gardner-Webb University. Reiff worked his way up to the main team his sophomore year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was unable to be a part of the team. Despite this, Reiff preserved and maintained his spot on the main team for his senior season. Reiff gained a wealth of knowledge and experience through his three years at GWU and his time at the highest level of High School basketball. Reiff hopes to share this knowledge paired with life lessons and the Gospel to the youth of Cleveland County.

The cost will be $40 a person for members and $55 a person for non members.
