At the Y we are for Youth Development and we focus on nurturing the potential of every child and teen by support their unique youth development journey through holistic programming. From cradle to career, the Y provides all youth with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life.
Take a look at all of our Youth Development Programs from After School to Summer Camp and beyond that we offer at the Cleveland County Family YMCA in Boiling Springs, Kings Mountain, Rutherford County and Shelby.
For the past three plus years, Bridges has led the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program (YDPP). As Senior Director of Healthy Living, she will continue to lead the YDPP and other Chronic Disease work. Jessica will be joining the Y’s Executive Leadership Team and will have a focus on finding the best ways to strategically connect our membership and wellness work. Jessica is a graduate of UNC with a degree in Public Health.
As the Association Director for Member Engagement, Adam Velez will lead the work toward shaping the member experience. He will work with staff teams across the association to implement relationship trainings and technology. Since joining the Y in 2014, Velez has worked at the welcome center and with the chronic disease programs. Velez has taken on many projects and association initiatives. He has both an undergraduate degree and a Master's of Divinity degree from Gardner-Webb University.
Shayne Collins has been with the Y for over 16 years, beginning her career as a summer counselor. She will continue to be based out of the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA, but will take on the added duties of coordinating the associations on-boarding and training. Collins will also take on the association administrative role of communicating with donors and working with the Annual Campaign. Collins is a graduate of Appalachian State University.
