Think and Thrive Squad
This group focuses on the challenges teens face when transitioning into adulthood, specifically addressing coping mechanisms for anxiety, sadness, loneliness, and pressure. Participants will have the opportunity to establish friendships through shared experiences and learn that they are not alone in their struggles. A free teen membership to the Y will also be available to participants that maintain a high attendance record for the meetings.
We are excited to share some upcoming seminars and classes you can look forward to:
– Financial Planning & Banking: A basic seminar led by [Speaker Name].
– Self-Publishing: Learn how to create and sell your own books.
– Cooking & Meal Prep: A session with a licensed caterer.
– Car Mechanics: Basic maintenance taught by a professional drag racer.
– Motorcycle Mechanics: An introductory class for enthusiasts.
– Politics & Civic Engagement: A seminar on voting, campaigning, and the importance of your voice, featuring Heather Lemmond of the KM City Council.
– Fitness & Body Positivity: A motivational seminar focused on health and self-image.
In addition to these professional sessions, we will host “coping mechanism sit-downs.” These gatherings will provide a space to discuss personal struggles, learn how to manage anxiety, and establish healthy boundaries.
This group is designed to evolve based on your needs and help establish lasting bonds. Your voices are important, and you should be proud to be the future.
