Diabetes Prevention Program

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

 

 

There are nearly 12 million cancer survivors in the United States today. We've joined the fight, and are fully committed to enhancing the well being of cancer survivors from diagnosis through all stages of recovery.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a FREE, 12-week program offered at all three of our branches. It is led by trained instructors that targets emotional and spiritual wellness, as well as key areas of muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility, providing you with a complete approach to recovery and well-being. Our desire is for you to expand your support system while increasing your physical stamina as you continue your journey to increased health. 

 

We currently have an active program at our Kings Mountain Family YMCA. The Dover Foundation YMCA is preparing to kickstart their next program in February of 2020. For more information, please click here for the information flyer.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Our personal trainers can help you take the next step towards wellness, design a program that helps you meet your specific goals and break through fitness and performance barriers. 

 

Training Packages

1 Session: $40.00

6 Sessions ($35.00 each): $210.00

12 Sessions ($30.00 each): $360.00

Any group training with two (2) or more people with be $25.00 per person per session.

  • Tom Blalock A.F.F.A Certified

Tom works well with all ages and levels. One client said, "Tom is a good trainer that motivates with a smile yet pushes you to the limit each workout. He pays attention to you the entire time and focuses on my goals". 

  • Pam Boyce A.F.F.A and YMCA Certified 

Pam works well with all ages and levels. Her motto is to help others feel fabulous at any age.

  • Caroline Carper A.F.F.A Certified

Caroline works well with all ages and levels. She strives to help clients reach their personal physical goals.

  • Kim Fortenberry A.F.F.A Certified

Kim works well with all ages and levels. Her goal is to make every session fun and effective. Her goal is to give you the confidence you need to get in shape.

  • Carl Greene A.F.F.A Certified

Carl works well with all ages and levels. His goal is to develop a fun and challenging plan that clients can implement into everyday life while using proper technique and form.

  • Jay Jackson A.F.F.A Certified

Jay works well with all ages and levels. He specializes in weight loss and strength training. His goal is to help clients reach their goals.

  • Devin McEntire A.C.S.M (EP-C) Certified

Devin works well with all ages and levels. He is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Exercise Physiologist. He is certified to work with people who have Metabolic Diseases such as diabetes, but is also proficient in the practices of Weight Management and Strength Training. His goal is to help clients transform their lives through physical fitness and exercise. He believes that obstacles provide an opportunity to reach one's goals.

  • Olivia Thompson A.C.E Certified

Olivia works well with all ages and backgrounds. She especially loves working with the female population to empower them to grow in their own personal identity as they pursue and reach their goals.
