Our YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities and financial circumstances. Membership Programs
AWAY Program: The YMCA AWAY program (Always Welcome at the Y) is recognized by most YMCA’s. If you plan on visiting an out of town YMCA come ask the Welcome Center to contact the out of town Y to see what they have to offer for AWAY members.
Neighbor Connection Program: The Neighbor Connection Program includes Cleveland County Family YMCA, Gaston County Family YMCA, and YMCA of Catawba Valley.
Central Carolinas Regional Membership: The Central Carolinas Regional Membership program includes Cannon Memorial YMCA, Cleveland County Family YMCA, Gaston County Family YMCA, Rock Hill Area YMCA, Rowan County YMCA, Stanly County, YMCA of Greater Charlotte.

Open Doors Discount
It is the philosophy of the Cleveland County Family YMCA that no person or family be denied membership or program participation based on their inability to pay the standard fees. Our YMCA offers a program called Open Doors in order to help people access the life-changing services provided through our organization. Open Doors subsidizes standard membership and program fees.
Adult, Family and Senior members receive an automatic discount if your income is $35,000/year or less. Bring your most recent tax return for verification or contact our Membership services for more information. Financial Assistance is also available for those that did not file taxes through our Open Doors II process. See our Welcome Center Staff for more information and applications.
Military Outreach Initiative
As a spouse of a deployed Guard or Reserve member, you and your family are elgible to join your local, participating YMCA for FREE, courtesy of Military OneSource.
All you need to do is come to our branch along with a copy of the deployment orders and your military ID card.
Corporate Discounts
Discounts are available to employees of some member corporations.
Only one discount per membership including Open Doors, resident, or corporate.
