YMCA Community Garden
The Ruby C. Hunt YMCA, Broad River Community Church, and Crossroads Worldwide’s Community Discipleship Home are excited to announce a new partnership for our community in 2011. The YMCA Community Garden will be located on the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA’s property in Boiling Springs and offer opportunities for YMCA and community members to come together and produce locally grown food for the hungry in our community. Using raised planters and row gardens, this new project will grow in the coming years to provide food for our community’s less fortunate. Please contact the YMCA if you would like to become involved with this exciting new initiative!
Library Memberships
With over 15,000 volumes from fiction, to nonfiction, research materials, and children’s books, the Library at the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA offers free membership to anyone interested in checking out books and borrowing library materials. The Library also offers free computer and Internet access; copying, printing, and faxing for a nominal fee; and yearlong programs focusing on literacy, education, and overall well-being.
YMCA and Community Members Welcome
Book Clubs, Writing Groups, Scrapbooking Groups
Taking place in the Library at the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA, various book clubs, writing groups, and scrapbooking groups meet on a regular basis to learn more from one another, develop their skills, and share their talents.

Preschool Reading Group
Focusing on literacy and fun books for kids, the reading group brings together children and parents for reading and literacy development. This programs takes place in the Library at the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA

Community Play and Learn
Offering free school readiness activities, information on child development, and family literacy events, the Y, Smart START, and the Cleveland County Partnership for Children are happy to offer this weekly preschool play group.

Community Potluck
Bring a dish and join us in the Library at the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA for a time of food and fellowship. YMCA Members and non-members alike are welcome!

Anchors AWAY!
Ages: Prereaders to students having completed 8th grade
This year our summer reading program will sail across the seas in search of distant lands. Join us as at the Library where imaginations run wild and exciting discoveries are just around the corner!
