For those not familiar with our facility, we gladly provide tours. Some of the programs available at the Kings Mountain Family YMCA are Youth Sports, School Year Child Care, Water Aerobics, Pilates, year round pick-up basketball and MUCH more.

Dr. Cliff Jones — Sr. Pastor,
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church , Charlotte, NC


Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Cliff Jones has been the Senior Pastor at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church since 1982. A graduate of Maryland State College, Dr. Jones has a Masters of Theology and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from the Boston School of Theology. With a strong focus on world wide missions, senior citizens, neighborhood revitalization and collaborative efforts, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is recognized as one of the most innovative congregations in the region.

Summer Slim Down Fitness Challenge

Get Beach Body ready by participating in our FREE
9 week Fitness Challenge

Participants will be given a YMCA beach towel if they complete all of the requirements of the Summer Slim Down Fitness Challenge.
We will also provide weekly newsletters to keep you motivated and slim.
So don’t wait sign up today!
  • The Slim Down begins on
    Monday April 7th-June 2nd
  • MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION: No joining fee to anyone who signs up for a membership between March 24th-April 7th
     Requirements for the Summer Slim Down Challenge:
  • You must weigh in 8 out of the 9 weeks
    (you can weigh in any day of the week).
  • You must either lose or maintain your initial body weight.
  • You must follow exercise a minimum of 3 times a week for 30 minutes.
    Any type of exercise is encouraged!
