Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga is a great way to connect with the miracle that is happening inside of you. Prenatal yoga can alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, swelling, back pain and sciatica. It helps with delivery as well! Along with the increased strength from practicing yoga poses, learning to focus on one’s breath helps with relaxation during delivery. This class is designed for the entire journey of pregnancy and participants can begin at any point of their pregnancy.

Summer Better Than Others
Day Camp at the Y is all about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.
Camping, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities. Camping teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper.
We have more than 130 years of experience in providing a safe, thriving environment for young people to explore personal interests, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, discover the creativity and health benefits of the outdoors, and make lasting friendships and memories.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program
Cleveland County Family YMCA is excited to offer the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program.
The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a 12-month evidence-based program that includes 16 weekly core sessions followed by monthly maintenance sessions. The program is delivered in a classroom setting by trained lifestyle coaches and provides a supportive environment where a small group of individuals work together to learn how healthier eating and increased physical activity can help reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
Our next class starts Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Dover YMCA.
To register, please contact Becca Schweppe at 704-669-3631 or bschweppe@clevecoymca.org
