The Gardner-Webb Student YMCA is a student-driven, service and leadership organization located on the campus of Gardner-Webb University. Throughout the year, the Student Y offers programs that provide students a one of a kind experience to learn, grow, and thrive. Students who participate in the YMCA have the opportunity to see their ideas for programs put into practice with the help and creativity of other student members.

Career Development and Professional Experience
Who: Current Gardner-Webb University Students
Using the YMCA’s network of local, national, and international facilities and programs, staff from the Gardner-Webb Student YMCA work to connect current students with internship and professional development experiences. From Health and Wellness Majors to students studying Psychology or Communications, the opportunity to learn more about working in the worlds largest non-profit is made available through the Student YMCA.

The Student YMCA is excited to offer visits to Gardner-Webb’s campus throughout the year. Join YMCA staff and Gardner-Webb University representatives to learn more about college life and all that GWU has to offer.
Sit in on a class. Meet current students. Eat in the cafeteria. And learn about YMCA programs on a college campus.
Visits are open to individuals, families, and YMCA program groups.

Faith, Service, and Leadership embody the experience of Gardner-Webb students and Student YMCA participants alike. Through programs focused on community service and leadership development, students learn more about their ability to impact their world and lead others. Thanks to partnerships with other University programs and collaborating with the Office of Student Leadership Development and Office of Community Engagement, the Student YMCA at Gardner-Webb University is helping create tomorrow’s leaders, today.
