Middle School United Nations

This program is an exciting, educational strategy for middle school students to learn about global issues. Participants assume the roles of diplomatic representatives to the UN as they consider contemporary international concerns. A yearly Model UN conference takes place at Blue Ridge Assembly, Black Mountain, NC April 30 - May 2, 2009.

April 30 - May 2 at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly Conference Center in Black Mountain, N.C. Organized by the YMCA of the Triangle, this conference provides first-hand experience for middle school students in world affairs designed to promote a better life for all mankind. Students attend the three-day event as representatives of pre-assigned countries.

 

Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains near Asheville, North Carolina, YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly is a full-service conference center situated on 1200 acres of woodland beautified by mountain streams, wildflowers, ridges, valleys and spectacular views.
