The Teen Leaders Club is a program for teens aged 12-18 who want to develop their own leadership skills, serve their community and build healthy lifestyles for themselves and others. Through volunteering within our YMCA and community, leadership training and health & wellness activities teens will take an active role in their growth and development as young leaders in our community.
Are you interested in developing your leadership skills or you a young person who would benefit from developing their leadership skills? Contact the Sunny Anderson at the Dover Foundation YMCA or Colin Ashley at the Ruby C. Hunt YMCA
Black Achievers is the catalyst that provides exposure to present and future educational/career opportunities, instills positive social values, ignites students' thirst for knowledge, enables students to reach their full potential by creating opportunities for adults and the community to participate in their lives, and empowers families to assist students in reaching higher goals. The Dover YMCA Black Achievers Program connects students with positive adult role models in the community. The program offers activities designed to expose students (grades 7th through 12th) to career, educational, and social opportunities that are not readily available to them. These opportunities enable students to make informed decisions and develop the skills necessary to compete successfully in life.
