Q: What is Membership Plus?
A. This is your home branch YMCA plus two other YMCA facilities
(Dover Foundation, Ruby C. Hunt or Kings Mountain Family YMCA).

Q: What is a Global Membership?
A. Global Membership includes Membership Plus and Golf privileges at River Bend YMCA Golf Course.

Q: Do you offer reduced rates?
A: Membership financial assistance is available throught our Open Doors program. We base our membership assistance on household income and distribute our resources according to need.
Q: Can I pay cash instead of automatic debit?
A: We accept cash payment in advance for a 12-month period. To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account or credit card.
Q: How do I become a member?
A: Visit our YMCA location or website to join. You will need to pay your Activation Fee and prorated first month fee. To establish a monthly draft, you will also need your check book or credit card.
Q: Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
A: No. Our membership is flexible and on a monthly basis. You may end your membership anytime 30 days before your next debit.
Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: The Cleveland County Family YMCA requires a 30-day written notice to cancel a membership. The Exit Form is available at the Welcome Center.
Q: Can I visit other YMCAs?
A: Yes. Many YMCAs across the country participate in the AWAY program which allows members from other YMCAs to visit. You should call a location prior to visiting for specific policies.
Q: Can I bring a guest?
A: Yes. We encourage our members to introduce their friends, family and colleagues to the YMCA. Guests must be accompanied by a member. Guest Fee's vary upon YMCA branch.
Q: What are your hours?
A: Hours vary by department and can be found on the your local YMCAs home page.
Q: Do you have lockers?
A: Yes. Lockers are available for member use. Members should bring a lock to secure their belongings and must take their belongings home with them each day.
Q: Will someone assist me with my workout?
A: Yes. Our wellness staff and personal trainers are available to conduct fitness assessments, setup individualized routines and establish ongoing personal training sessions. Ask your instructor about fees for ongoing training. You can also ask about our Coach Connection sessions that are available to our members for no charge.
Q: Do you provide towels?
A: No. The Cleveland County Family YMCA does not provide towel service.
Q: Can I bring my child in while I work out?
A: Yes. ChildWatch Hours can be found on the branch Family Programs page. ChildWatch is FREE for Family and Single Parent Memberships. All others memberships may bring their children for only $2 per child per visit.
